Yes, you certainly can. In fact any salt will do as long as it does not contain iodine (most table salt does, but you can buy it without the added iodine). Use 2 tablespoons per 5 gallons and dissolve it in some water from the tank first. Less salt will not inhibit bacteria or fungus and will basically serve no purpose in this case.
Watch closely for fungus which would be a fuzzy white or gray growth around the wound. Fungus is common in wounds and is easily treated if caught fairly early. The salt will help, but to treat the fungus if it occurs will require medication from the pet store.

yes, a little is good. Be careful not to turn the water brackish. goldfish are very adaptable though. They can survive in really goofy water conditions
i think no
i wouldnt add the salt until the wound heals.
i dont think u should add the salt because the wound might turn worser.
Many people recommend a small dose (1 tablespoon per 5 gallons) for regular tanks. Remember, salt does not evaporate so do not add salt to water used for replacing evaporation loss. More intense amounts can be done for shorter periods for different problems including a fullscale saltwater dip to get rid of parasites. The idea is to make the water liveable for the fish, but unliveable for bad guys. BTW, freshwater dips also are a great way to cause parasites to drop off marine fish.
Yes, but only in small amounts. Also try using this stuff I just bought called Geo Liquid. Works great at improving fish health and overall water quality. I copied the link below for you
yes — you can use between 1 tablespoon for every 10 gallons to 1 tablespoon for every 5 gallons. the salt will kill off bacteria and hopefully help keep them from getting in the wound.
Yes, but realize that the use salt has become completely misconstrued and many people don’t seem to even know why they are using it any more. Do you know why you are using it in a freshwater tank? Salt (in moderate amounts) will not help the wound heal, and will not harm it either.
