As long as you make sure its the aquarium safe type you’ve got then yes its fine.
Yep it certainly is, as the other posters have said, make sure you leave it to cure though. I just bought some on the weekend for a job I was doing. I bought selleys aquarium silicon and it says 7 days to cure. So if you do use it, plan time for it to cure before putting it in the tank
